The IRF Executive calls for Expressions of Interest (EoI) to host 17th World Rogaining Championship in 2020. It is expected a future WRC organizer is able to maintain high organization standard of the pinnacle IRF event and meet all reasonable expectations of the regular WRC participants. The technical, financial and administrative obligations will be specified in the Host Agreement (WRC Manager is ready to provide you an example of a preceding WRC Host Agreement).
Countries wishing to conduct the WRC must submit an Expression of Interest (EoI) that is in accordance with the guidelines contained in the attached document “Requirements for Expressions of Interest”.
An EoI has to be submitted within period from 18 February 2017 to 31 March 2017 and will be available for the IRF Council consideration and assessment for a period of four weeks (up to 31 May 2017). In June the vote will be opened.
Mind the IRF has adopted „World Rogaining Championships Host Policy“ defining requirements for potential WRC Hosts and “WRC Rotation Policy” enabling regular rotation of WRC locations around the regions of the world (see attached PDF files). Both the policies are effective for all World Rogaining Championships to be conducted after 2016.
According to the “WRC Rotation Policy” the first opportunity to provide formal Expression of Interest (EoI) to host that WRC will be given to proponents from the “Preferred” region, i.e. to anyone willing to organize the WRC 2020 in North America.
If no suitable EoI is received from the “Preferred” region then the EoI for that WRC will be opened up to all regions. Dead line of the second round EoIs (if required) is end of June 2017.
